Every team has a player who shines at one time or another. These stars don’t just hit a basket at the buzzer, throw a no-hitter or have a hundred-yard return. On the OLA Angels TEAM the shining stars are the employees who put the extra effort into their jobs that makes for a standout performance. When an employee makes that extra effort, she/he deserves to be recognized for this performance. It makes everyone’s job easier, and makes OLA a better place to live and work. The TEAM program is a way to point out the extra effort given daily by OLA employees, and to select one of them as The Employee Angel of the Month. TEAM cards are available to employees, residents and guests at locations throughout the building. Anyone can use them to point out an OLA employee doing her/his best by simply filling in the name, a brief explanation of the behavior, and signing the card. Then the card is placed in the TEAM collection box outside the Administrator’s Office. All nominations are reviewed and The Employee Angel of the Month is chosen by the Management Team. These employees have their name placed on a plaque in the Employee Lounge, receive a gift certificate, a reserved parking space for the month, and have the pride of knowing they exhibited the best example of living the mission of OLA.
