Private Rooms for Assistance in Living A portion of Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home is licensed by the State of Illinois as a Sheltered Care Facility. This license allows us to provide a higher level of assistance in living than can be provided to individuals who are well served in independent living apartments. This level of service is also known as "Assisted Living." Each person enjoys the benefit of a private room in this licensed area of our community, as well as the following types of assistance in living services: A supportive environment with 24 hour emergency response Nursing oversight Monthly blood pressure and weight assessment Assistance with up to two activities of daily living Optional personal care services available as needed Optional medication and treatment management or administration Three meals a day served in the Retirement Home dining room Weekly housekeeping (daily supplement service available) Weekly flat linen service Daily scheduled activities and programs Access to transportation for outings This assistance in living is an important part of the continuum of care that does indeed allow the men and women of Our Lady of Angels to maintain their maximum independence and yet to feel secure about their tomorrow. Monthly Service Fees for Assistance in Living in the Retirement Home will vary with the room selected and the package of services provided.
